Questions
What property managers ask before the walk
What does grounds maintenance cost?
It follows the acreage, how much is turf and how much is beds, slopes, trees and irrigation, and how often you want visits. We price it after the audit, by area, so you can change the scope and watch the number move.
How soon can you start, and how long is the audit?
We schedule the walk when you send the form or call. Most walks take a morning, longer for a large campus. The proposal follows within 5 business days of the walk, and the start date is written in it.
Are you licensed and insured?
The license line in the footer names our California contractor classification and the board’s lookup page. A certificate of insurance goes to you on request, with your property as certificate holder.
What happens at the audit?
We walk the whole property with your manager or an on-site contact, run each irrigation zone, list the trees and mark slopes and low spots. The findings come to you as a written report with photos.
How do we pay?
One invoice a month, by area, with the service report attached. Payment terms and accepted methods are in the proposal.
What if it rains, or the heat is extreme?
Mowing moves a day when the ground is too wet to cut without ruts. In the hottest weeks crews start earlier, and any change to the watering schedule is logged in the monthly report.
What should we do before the first visit?
Send gate codes and the hours crews may work, show us the irrigation controller, and tell tenants to expect a crew. The crew lead confirms the rest on day one.
Where do you work?
Sacramento, Placer, Yolo and El Dorado counties, from Elk Grove to Loomis and from Davis to El Dorado Hills. The service area page lists the cities.
Do you take single-family yards?
No. We maintain commercial and multifamily properties only.
Do you remove trees?
Not with our own crew. Removal and work above a ground crew’s reach go to a specialist named in the proposal.
Who do we call about a problem?
Your crew lead first, then the account desk at (916) 555-0100. Calls after 4:30 p.m. go to voicemail and are answered the next business day.
Can the monthly report go to our board?
Yes. It is written to be forwarded: a PDF by area, with photos and a short list of what changed.
Still have a question?
Ask the account desk, or ask for the audit and ask on the walk.
