Trees and shrubs

Trees and shrubs kept clear of walks, signs and sight lines

The audit lists every tree on the property by location, with a note on clearance and dead limbs. Pruning that a crew can do from the ground, we do on the visit.

Anything bigger goes to a tree specialist named in the proposal, with the price shown as its own line.

  • A tree list by location, updated each year

  • Shrubs pruned away from windows and paths

  • Big work priced as a separate line

A man spreads mulch with a rake along a row of young trees, with an orange wheelbarrow on the grass nearby.

Who does what

What the crew does, and what goes to a specialist

  • The crew

Pole and hand pruning from the ground, shrub shaping, suckers and deadwood within reach.

    • Clearance over walks and parking

    • Shrubs back from windows and signs

    • Stakes and ties checked on young trees

  • A named specialist

Anything that needs climbing or a lift, large limbs, and removals. The proposal names who does it.

    • Quoted as its own line

    • Scheduled with your manager

    • Photos before and after

Scope

Questions about trees

Do you remove trees?

Not with our own crew. Removal and work above a ground crew’s reach go to a specialist named in the proposal.

How do you decide what to prune?

Clearance comes first: walks, signs, lights and sight lines at entries. Shape and size come second.

Will you tell us about a tree that worries you?

Yes. It goes on the tree list with its location and a photo, and your manager hears about it before the next visit.
